WORKSHOP COURSE CONTENT:
The course content elaborated in the VISION Robotics Workshop can be explained better in the following heads:
· Image processing in robotics
· VariousSoftwares available for it
· Basic concepts regarding image and its various formats of it
· Camera
· Introduction to image processing tool box
· Connecting the hardware (webcam) and retrieving hardware information.
· Details of the kit, its interfacing with the PC
· Algorithm development
· Factors deciding sensitivity of the machine
· Iterative image processing
· Programming and Simulation for overhead camera based navigation
In the span of two days time the participants will learn the concepts of-
· Using the Image acquisition toolbox
· VFM driver for primitive MATLAB versions
· Pros and Cons of Spatial and Frequency domain Approaches.
· Adjusting image intensity
· Image histogram equalization
· Using arithmetic functions to enhance images
· Thresholding
· Edge Detection
· Template matching
· Distinguishing colors
· Shape Detection
· Display and concept of wireless off-board processing and on-board machine vision robots.
Workshop will contain a take-away kit which will consist of the following parts:
· Camera
· Parallel port wire
· 2 DC geared motor
· 2 wheels
· One Motor Driver
· Acrylic CNC cut glass finish chassis
· Castor wheel.
