Brave were the sailors
who dared the seas,
who took the paths,
floundering deep,
Insane were they
for those on land,
The earth for them
was square not round.
They lay in languor
Until lost they were
In the haze of years
filling in past,
But lands were found,
Beyond the expanse of blue.
Waiting as brides
For the grooms on waves.
